· SIMULACRUM OF ACCES EXAMS

Jam Session Higher Music School offers a simulacrum exam with similar exercises to that will appear in the 2017-18 access exam, as well as a personalized interview with one of the teachers of the school’s pedagogical team to comment on the results and consult Any doubt about the studies that are in the center.

Date: Saturday, February 25th.

Hours: 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

EXERCISES OF THE SIMULACRUM / PART A

* All dictations and analysis of the exams are common for all specialties (Jazz, Modern Music, Rock, Urban Music, New Tendences, etc.).

• Auditory perception (60 minutes)

– Melodic rhythmic dictation.

– Harmonic dictation.

• Musical analysis (90 minutes)

Analysis of a score for band. Harmonic analysis, recognition of styles and related sociocultural aspects, knowledge of terminology, technical language and justification of the answers will be evaluated.

• Auditory analysis (60 minutes)

Hearing of a musical fragment. The applicant must answer a questionnaire on structure, harmony, instrumentation, etc.

• Talk (30 minutes)

Informative talk given by the tutor to clarify doubts, requests and questions.

Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday: 09:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. And from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Friday: 09:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

NOTE: The week of 23 to 27 January and the week of January 30 to February 3 are not school, therefore only accept the payments by bank transfer in this period.

· OPENED DOORS SESSION

Jam Session Higher Music School organizes the Opened Doors Session 2017 for all those interested in studying higher studies of music.
The aim of this session is to present the installations of our higher music school and the studies that can be carried out, as well as provide relevant information on the content of these studies and the entrance exams. It targets to music students from conservatories and music schools, interested in the higher grade of music.

During this day, the interested attendees will be able to make a personalized talk with a teacher to advise on one of the subjects that are taught in our center*.
